Awaken is Retiring
Welcome to the new formatted website, tbh some pages have changed whilst others, such as this one, have remained the same.
The reason for the change is that I have retired ‘Awaken’ other than Awaken events to concentrate more on speaking and writing. Was it an easy decision? No, it was a difficult one as Awaken was my baby (who had grown up to be 15!), I literally felt like a parent letting go of something that I had created, nurtured and loved however it was time.
Business decisions are often not easy, they can be tough, cause sleepless nights and doubt however I always say go with your gut feeling, what is it telling you? Whilst the head may pushed you towards what you believed was a rash decision was it indeed fed by that desire in your gut?
The decision to retire Awaken and its website Awaken Mentoring was taken following a coaching session with a friend and speaker coach who helped me realise that if I wanted to increase my visibility as a speaker and indeed author, I needed to start by using my name!
At the time I thought yeah, I can do that, I will just contact my website designer and change the name on the domain after all most of the website will remain the same. There started the work!
As I discussed my idea I was thankfully mentored through the process starting with, well you can’t just change the website name, the logo, the branding, the colours all need changing too, so that it all flows with your new identity and business.
So, here we are at www.beverleyjones.co.uk. I hope you like it.
My underlying message to all business owners out there, don’t be afraid of change, don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone, don’t be afraid to make what can seem to be a scary decision. Letting go can sometimes be the launch pad of that very dream you have been holding on to.
