Learn the patience of nature

As we are at the end of the first quarter of 2026, not sure where the first three months have gone, I have been looking back to see how things have panned out in line with my vision and what I need to do to move forward into achieving my goals for the rest of the year. One of the things I have had to do this year is really tap into ‘discovering the patience of nature’ – Louise Hay quote.

Following burnout in the last quarter of 2025 I had to really sit and think about how I was going to scope out the vision to achieve what I wanted. I took my trusty notebook (well one of them) and began to draft everything out.

Part of the plan was and is to step out my comfort zone, I have done this many times since I started my business journey in 2009 however every time it feels like the first time. Stepping up and out is scary and at times fear can step in which in turn can hold you back however I urge you to understand that the success you desire often lies outside that circular comfort zone that surrounds you.

I am not sure about you but once I decide to do something, I always want the results almost immediately to happen, not next week, not next month but now however often outer forces don’t always play ball and you get delivered what you need when you need it and not when you want it!

This can lead to frustration, but it is then that you need to practice the patience, not easy I know but from experience I can tell you it is worth it. Trying to force the hand of an outcome can be a sure way to push it away.

So, if you are heading in to the second quarter of the year waiting in anticipation of a certain outcome please may I suggest you take a step out and away from that outcome, allow things to open out as they should whilst you adopt the stance of patience as your real desire comes to fruition.
